While Studying (Stamp 2)
Students can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and 40 hours per week during holidays (June-Sept & mid-Dec to mid-Jan).
Post Study (Stamp 1G)
Graduates with an Honours Bachelor Degree get 1 year, while those with a Master’s or PhD get 2 years to seek employment. This is a critical pathway to the Critical Skills Employment Permit.

Is IELTS mandatory for Ireland?
Yes, proof of English proficiency is required for the visa. IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, and Duolingo are generally accepted. Waivers are rare.
Can I stay back after my Bachelor’s?
Yes, Honours Bachelor’s degree graduates get a 1-year stay back option. Ordinary Bachelor’s degree graduates generally do not get this benefit.
