Decoding the Test
Academic vs. General Training
IELTS Academic is for students applying for higher education or professional registration. IELTS General Training is for those migrating to Australia, Canada, and the UK, or applying for secondary education/work experience. We help you choose the right path.
- Customized syllabus for each
- Specific reading & writing tasks
The 4 Modules
The test assesses your abilities in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Each section has unique challenges—from skimming texts for keywords to speaking fluently on abstract topics. Our training breaks down each module into manageable strategies.
- Time management hacks
- Vocabulary & grammar boosters
Computer vs. Paper Based
You can choose between taking the IELTS on a computer or on paper. The content and scoring are identical, but the delivery differs. We provide practice tests for both formats so you are comfortable with the interface on exam day.
- Faster results (Computer-based)
- Traditional feel (Paper-based)

The IELTS score is valid for 2 years from the date of your test. After this period, you will need to retake the test if you haven’t used it for your application.
IDP vs. British Council – Is there a difference?
No. The test format, difficulty level, and scoring criteria are exactly the same regardless of whether you book through IDP or British Council. The examiners are trained to the same standards.
How much time do I need to prepare?
It depends on your current English level. On average, students need 4-8 weeks of focused preparation to jump 0.5 to 1.0 band score. Our assessment test can help determine your starting point.
